Space
Space is an area that is around or inside an area of substance. When an artist places an abject or form in space a communication between the object and the space is immediately begun.
Positive and Negative Space
All the area’s of 3 dimensional design can demonstrate the relationship between space and substance.
Positive space is not always the focal point of a composition. Negative space can strongly emphasis an area or object in the space of an image.
Compressive and Expansive SpaceSpace always has meaning. You can manipulate space in your compositions to expand or contract the focal points of your objects and the space around them.
